Which Phone Number Can You Use With Dondy?
The number you can use depends on your plan.
Free & Pro Plans
You can use your existing personal WhatsApp number or WhatsApp Business number. Add it to your widget and When a customer clicks the widget on your store, they're sent straight to a chat with that number on WhatsApp.
From this same number, you can also send manual messages (via WhatsApp web/desktop) to customers who've placed an order or abandoned checkout.
Power Automation & Elite Plans
These plans send messages through Meta's official WhatsApp API, so you'll need to connect a number for that. You have three options:
- Use an existing WhatsApp Business number. Connect to the WhatsApp Business number you already use.
- Use a brand-new number. A number that doesn’t have a WhatsApp account connected, not as a personal account and not as a WhatsApp Business account. (This can also be an E-sim, virtual number or land/office line)
- Use a free Meta number (starts with +1 555). Only available if you have a verified Meta Business Manager account that matches your brands name. Not sure if you are verified and are eligible for this number? Check here.
