From the Dondy app in Shopify, go to Step 2 (Complete embedded signup) on the app’s home page and click the setup button. Log in with Facebook and select your Portfolio and WhatsApp account.
You have three options:
- Connect the API to your existing WhatsApp Business number (coexistence).
- Use a new number that is not associated with an existing WhatsApp account.
- If your account is verified by Meta, get a free Facebook number (starting with +1555) by selecting Use display name.
The Dondy inbox and automations require the API to be connected.
For campaigns and automation messages, you will only see messages in the chat when your customers reply to them.
These are two separate things.
Your Dondy Account balance (under Automation > Add balance) covers the cost of WhatsApp messages. Top it up if your balance is low.
Your Meta Business payment method must be properly configured, have a valid Visa or Mastercard, and be set as Default.
If you see a “Business eligibility payment issue” notification, update or correct your payment method in Meta Business.
Make sure that:
- The template is approved (AP / Live).
- The variables match the approved template content. The “invalid parameter” error is often caused by a missing or incorrectly formatted variable.
- You have sufficient funds in your Account balance.
- Your Meta payment method is set as Default.
You can also test this by sending a test campaign to your own phone number using the country code, without the + sign.
Sure thing! Keep in mind that the Elite plan also includes a VIP Account Manager. Within the chat, you can also request a human agent so that a person can assist you.
If the issue you have persists, gather the relevant information before contacting support: the customer’s phone number, a screenshot of the error, the template name and status, the date and time, and what you expected to happen.
Once you have this information, you can schedule a video call, or you can write directly to the chat if you prefer.
