Getting Started
Getting Dondy up and running takes just a few minutes.
Installing the App
From your Shopify admin, go to the App Store using the search bar at the top, and search for Dondy. Click on our app - Dondy: WhatsApp Marketing+Chat and click Install.
Approving Permissions
Before the install finishes, Shopify will show you a screen asking you to approve a few permissions. These let Dondy read store information — like your orders, products, and customers — so it can power your WhatsApp widget, automations, and messages. Click Approve (or Install app) to continue.
First Launch
Once installed, you'll land in the Dondy dashboard on our Free plan already active, with nothing extra to set up. From here you can:
- From WhatsApp Button Page: Edit, design and enable your WhatsApp chat widget
- From Manual Messages Page: Start sending manual messages to customers (a limited number per month on the Free plan)
Minimum Setup to Get Started
- Install the app and approve permissions & your Free plan is active right away.
- Add your widget on your storefront and customize its look if you'd like.
- Send your first manual messages - create a template abandoned cart reminders or order confirmations are
- Upgrade when you're ready for more. Automations, campaigns, a team inbox, and the AI agent are available on our Power Automation and Elite plans.
